Who We Are
My husband is English but lived and worked in S.E Asia, particularly Sabah, for 25 years. I was born here but for the past 7 years we owned and operated a small private hotel in England before retiring to Kota Kinabalu. We had the opportunity to purchase an apartment in a town centre condominium development by the waterfront which we offer to you during your stay here. This is not a business venture though of course they have to justify their existence as does any investment. We are on hand to meet you at the airport and take you back there when you depart. We can also offer help and advice during your stay or help plan your itinerary before you arrive. This we offer for free (it helps to keep a couple of otherwise underemployed pensioners busy).
Sabah
We are sure you have not arrived at this page knowing nothing about Sabah. You have probably already decided to visit us here for a holiday so we will not bother to explain about its many attractions for all ages. Suffice to say that Sabah is rapidly being acknowledged as one of the world's best holiday destinations. The list of things you can see and do here is endless and Kota Kinabalu is already the second busiest airport in Malaysia which says much for its popularity. With continued Government support tourism here will only grow further so perhaps it would be best to come sooner rather than later.
How to get here?
Sabah enjoys good air-links with many major cities in the Asia-Pacific region so it is possible to get here as part of an extended SE Asian tour on a direct flight from Singapore, Brunei, Bangkok,Taipei, Seoul, Manila, Macau, Shenzhen (Hong Kong) or all major Australian cities. Most people coming from Europe however will enter Malaysia via Kuala Lumpur. From KL there are direct flights to Kota Kinabalu on the national carrier MAS or the budget carrier Air Asia. There are many flights a day so this is the most flexible option to connect with other flights if you do not plan a stop-over. Another option from London is via Brunei airlines (usually the cheapest) who have an interconnecting flight to KK. Next year Air Asia X will be offering budget airline flights from Stanstead and possibly Manchester to KL.
The apartments are only a 5 minute drive from the airport.
